Disguised handwriting

Disguise means that the writer deliberately altered their writing. Distinguishing it from natural change requires care.

Handwriting and graphology

Someone using their other hand or writing while standing may make less fluent movements. Hesitant strokes or an unusual slope describe the appearance but do not, by themselves, disclose intent.

If an anonymous note looks unlike the usual notebooks, first describe the visible differences. Then record which writing conditions are known and what information is missing. The material may ultimately be insufficient for comparison.
