Collecting signatures to compare with a will

Choose reference material whose origin is independent of the dispute.

Worked examples

A will survives as a photograph. The family has three letters and a bank form. For each item, record its custodian, date and the basis for attributing its signature to the deceased. A signature on a traceable form answers a different question from a name typed by a relative.

Seek material from around the date of the will, including signatures that look different from one another. Supply complete items and identify the copies. If the original will still exists, leave it unmarked and ask the examiner how to deliver it.

Legal representation in fraud and disputed-document claims

Tzion Bahalul, attorney and notary

A disputed signature on a contract, will or payment instruction raises two distinct questions: what can be learned from the document, and what legal steps are available. Tzion Bahalul & Co. handles the legal dispute, including civil fraud claims and recovery of funds in Israel.
