Comparing writing in different scripts

Material from one person can contain handwriting of quite different kinds.

Worked examples

Suppose the disputed name is in joined Arabic and the reference is hand-printed in Latin letters. Even if both items are attributed to the same person, letter shapes and connections may not correspond. Identify which elements can meaningfully be compared.

Request known material in the relevant script and writing style, preferably from around the same period. If the disputed signature is a stylized mark, examples of that signature are more useful than a paragraph of prose. Transliteration of the name cannot recreate the writing movement.

Legal representation in fraud and disputed-document claims

Tzion Bahalul, attorney and notary

A disputed signature on a contract, will or payment instruction raises two distinct questions: what can be learned from the document, and what legal steps are available. Tzion Bahalul & Co. handles the legal dispute, including civil fraud claims and recovery of funds in Israel.
