When an invoice has different bank details

Separate the difference in the files from the identity of whoever changed them.

Worked examples

Two invoices carry the same number and amount but specify different bank accounts. Retain both attachments and the messages that carried them. Transcribe the differing field from each version, with filename and page. Redact account numbers only on a working copy.

If payment is outstanding, verify the instructions with the supplier through an established channel. Matching typography cannot establish authorization. Obtain the original attachment for any technical examination of the edit, rather than relying on a screenshot of the invoice.

Legal representation in fraud and disputed-document claims

Tzion Bahalul, attorney and notary

A disputed signature on a contract, will or payment instruction raises two distinct questions: what can be learned from the document, and what legal steps are available. Tzion Bahalul & Co. handles the legal dispute, including civil fraud claims and recovery of funds in Israel.
